I have exceptionally funny people in my life.
They continually make me laugh.
Which is great.
Someone has said to me recently
which is still killing me every time I think about it:
"Seriously, If your getting played,
I'll believe Santa exists,
cause that's crazy"
Never-mind the getting played part,
(which is probably true.. I most likely am)
It's the reference to Santa that kills me.
Here's whats been on my mind lately
as I and my fellow coexisters of this planet
specifically Rexburg
battle dating
and the ever-changing rules
of when to text
when to talk
what to say
and when...
What happened to the good ol' days?
I had to interview someone of another generation
about gender roles and how they've changed over the years.
So me being the over achiever that I am,
and also the history buff that I am..
I interviewed three people from another generation.
Here's what I have found.
Boys of my generation really need to step it up.
Boys of the generation of my mom,
they asked girls out.
They took girls dancing,
(no sammies does not count as dancing, or any other DJ'd "party")
to dinner,
&
to the movies.
Boys of my Grandma's generation
also asked out girls,
for dancing, dinner, and a movie.
(side note, they were also flying across the ocean to fight a war for freedom at the ages of 18-19)
So my challenge to all you single boys out there,
not even in Rexburg,
but in the world.
Lets go back to the good ol days of courting.
And having fun.
Not dating just out of obligation, or to hook up.
And this hanging out crap?
If you see a girl you're interested in,
ask her out on a date.
Lets get off facebook, and in the real world.
That's my plea.
Because I have gorgeous friends,
& and I see gorgeous girls,
and I hear them say they don't go on dates,
and I really want to know why.
Can someone please tell me?
Is this a generation of pansy boys?
<3

It appears so. You may just have to wait for a MAN to show up. Do not settle. FYI 'let's hang out' is code for "I'm cheap and/or insecure." Beware of hang-out dude!
